On his 60th birthday, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan surprised his fans by introducing his girlfriend Gauri Spratt, and after a year he again shared a personal update that grabbed attention.

On Wednesday, news emerged that the 61-year-old star is preparing to begin a new chapter in his life by marrying his partner.

According to a family source, “They have built a happy, stable life together and simply decided to mark it formally with their families present.”

Now, the Ghajini star himself has confirmed the news of his third marriage. “The news about the marriage is true. It’s on July 5,” he revealed.

However, earlier in an interview, the Lagaan lead had opened up about his marriage plans, saying, “Gauri and I were very serious about each other. We were in a committed space. In my heart, I was already married to her. Whether we formalise it or not was something we would decide as we go along.”

In another interview reflecting on his relationship with Gauri, the Dangal actor once said, “I am very lucky that I met Gauri and our relationship started together. She is great, I feel at peace with her. 

Although my relationship with (ex-wives) Kiran (Rao) and Reena (Dutta) was also very deep, but things didn't work out. When you asked, I felt that I am very blessed that Gauri entered my life. We are very happy together. I feel complete today."

The Taare Zameen Par star first tied the knot with Reena Dutta in 1986 and parted ways in 2002.

Later, he married Kiran Rao in 2005, and the couple filed for divorce in 2021.

On the professional front, Aamir was last seen in Sitaare Zameen Par alongside Genelia Deshmukh.
