Emilia Clarke has opened up once again about her feelings on the ending of Game of Thrones, admitting she is still frustrated by how Daenerys Targaryen’s storyline ended in the final season.

The actress, who portrayed the Mother of Dragons from 2011 to 2019, told Variety that even years after the show ended, she continues to feel conflicted about her character’s fate. 

During a recent interview segment where she revisited her dialogue from the series, Clarke reflected on Daenerys’ final moments.

“That is the last thing I say before the cheeky little s--- stabs me,” she said, referring to Jon Snow, played by Kit Harington, who kills her character in the final episode. “F---ing outrageous. I was so pissed. I was absolutely livid.”

Clarke also expressed disappointment over the emotional impact of the ending, saying the conclusion still “bummed me out” despite understanding the broader controversy surrounding her character’s actions. “Kinda rude. I gave that man everything, burned cities to the ground for him, for us,” she added.

She later joked about her lingering reaction to the storyline, saying, “I’m over it, clearly. I’m so over it, it’s unreal. Livid.”

In the same conversation, Clarke also revisited her career after leaving Westeros behind, noting her first major television role post-Game of Thrones in PONIES, where she stars alongside Haley Lu Richardson.
