Saif Ali has finally spoken about the evolution of public scrutiny in the film industry.

In a recent interview, he pointed out the difference between the time he joined industry and now when his children Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim, who he shares with ex-wife  Amrita Singh, have entered showbiz.

According to the Kal Ho Naa Ho actor, the public scrutiny is tougher than the time he joined the industry. He believed people were more forgiving back than as compared to today.

“The whole concept of preparation has changed, and some actors have always done that. I remember Hrithik Roshan obviously prepared his dance and his physique and all these things before his debut.”

Khan elaborated, “It’s a different time, and I’ve said this to them also that you have to prepare, but these are also producers’ calls.”

The 55-year-old Bollywood superstar insisted that the big screen has a very strong pull, and it makes people believe that they are ready.

Saif told Hindustan Times, “I think to have a successful job, you have to be very blessed in life in any field. But our field has become extremely extreme. It’s always been competitive, but people are less forgiving now certainly than they were.”

Sara and Ibrahim have done a couple of movies in Bollywood despite dealing with all the nepo kids stigma.
