Ariana Grande’s emotions came flooding back as she commenced her highly anticipated Eternal Sunshine Tour seven years after her last tour.

On Saturday, June 6, the 32-year-old American singer-songwriter and actress kicked off the first show at the Oakland Arena in California.

Grande was seen in tears as she expressed gratitude to fans during the opening show of her fifth major tour.

"Thank you so much, I have missed you, it's been seven years, thank you so much for being here," she said, prompting a thunderous round of applause.

The Wicked actress thrilled fans with a setlist packed with career-spanning hits, performing favourites such as Positions, 7 Rings, One Last Time, Break Free, Dangerous Woman, Into You, Rain On Me, supernatural, and we can’t be friends (wait for your love).

On opening night, Grande delivered an electrifying performance but notably left out any tracks from her 2018 album Sweetener.

Kicking off on June 6, the 41-date tour is set to wrap on August 23, 2026, and supports her seventh studio album Eternal Sunshine.

The Eternal Sunshine Tour marks her return to major touring after seven years, following the Sweetener World Tour in 2019.
