Charlie Sheen had an offer to return to return to Two and a Half Men for season 8 and 9.
Back in March 2011, the 60-year-old was fired from the show due to his excessive substance abuse, erratic interviews and aggressive verbal attacks directed at the creator Chuck Lorre.
However, the actor was approached again by the makers to renegotiate the contract for season 8 and 9, but Charlie turned them down instantly.
The legendary actor admitted that even though he was making $54,000 an hour, but he still rejected the offer to return to the show.
During a chat on The Joe Rogan podcast, Sheen explained the reason saying, “I had run up against a thing. I had lost passion for the show. I'd lost passion for the process.”
“I was making $54,000 an hour. That's pre-taxes. I got kind of crowbarred into it. Well, not crowbarred. I had to ultimately say yes. I got to own that”, said Charlie.
Two and a Half Men featured him along with Jon Cryer and August T. Jones.
After Sheen’s departure, Ashton Kutcher joined the series from season 9 as internet billionaire Walden Schmidt, who buys the house after Charlie Harper’s death.
