Benito Skinner has teased what to expect in the upcoming second season of Prime Video’s Overcompensating.

While making Overcompensating, Prime Video’s semi-autobiographical hit, that satirizes his college years and early experiences with love as a gay man; the 32-year-old comedian and actor admitted to feeling nervous.

Speaking with People, he shared, "I had so many fears and was so worried about how it would be received."

His fears did not last long after the first season dropped, as viewers quickly embraced his bold, campy, and emotionally raw portrayal of a queer freshman navigating college and his sexuality.

Soon after the first season, comedy drama series was picked up for a second season and is currently at the filming stage.

"I'm really proud of these scripts, I worked so hard on them," Benito revealed, while discussing the much awaited season two.

"What we've done so far feels even more of exactly what I wanted to make. Everything feels really warmed up and everyone is just so funny and sharp,” he remarked.

The actor noted that second installment “feels more queer” since his character is further out of the closet, calling it “really exciting.”

“We didn't make a whole new show, but we did elevate it in a lot of ways. I think there's a maturity to it,” he shared.

“I'm really excited. And it's nasty,” he playfully added.
