Shakira, despite having successful career, wished to walk away from show business a few years back.

The 49-year-old Columbian singer, who is referred as the “Queen of Latin Music” globally, has contributed a lot in the music industry.

But fans will be shocked to know that there was a time in her career where she decided step away from her flourishing career.

The best-selling musician considered retiring to buy a farm and raise animals.

During an interview, Shakira disclosed, "A few years ago, I was ready to just buy a farm, raise animals, and retire from music.”

However, the Wakka Wakka singer also feels that she was crazy thinking about leaving her decades-long career for farming. Shakira confessed that she took her music business for granted.

She stated, "But I look back, and I’m like, ‘How crazy is that?’ I had and have so much more to say and to do. Sometimes we just take what we do for granted, or just forget about who we are."

Work wise, the Hips Don’t Lie hitmaker just sang the 2026 FIFA World Cup song called Dai Dai.

Meanwhile, she will also co-headline the Final Halftime Show of FIFA World Cup on Sunday July 19.

This is isn't the first FIFA anthem sung by Shakira as she had previously lent  her vocals for the game in 2006, 2010,  and 2014.
