Bobby Deol reveals how mom Prakash Kaur influenced his upbringing
Bobby Deol opens up about his mother Prakash Kaur’s bond with his late father Dharmendra
Bobby Deol has opened up about his mother Prakash Kaur’s bond with his late father, Dharmendra, as he took a trip down memory lane.
In an exclusive interview with Ranveer Allahbadia, the Animal actor spoke at length about how his mother’s upbringing has left a deep impression on his personality despite being a housewife all her life.
He said that while many people assume that he is well-known because of Dharmendra’s strong presence in the industry, it is his mother who has taught him to stay grounded in life.
He said, "My mother has been a housewife all her life. People keep thinking that our dad is the biggest reason for the way we are, but it is never that way. It’s the mother who plays the biggest role in how the kids turn out."
In addition, the Soldier star explained that Dharmendra established himself as a great actor years after their marriage, but his mother never let the fame go to her head.
He added, "Because my mom is not an actor, we end up talking more about my father. But my mother is just an amazing woman. She was so young when she got married to him. She never really got caught up in the fame and glory that came with it. She was a simple woman and still is—totally grounded."
For the unversed, the Sholay star tied the knot with Hema Malini in 1980 and later welcomed daughters Ahaana Deol and Esha Deol.
