Varun Dhawan has finally reacted to the viral 'crooked smile' meme that surfaced after the release of his latest film.
In an exclusive interview with Tanmay Bhat, the Badlapur actor spoke at length about receiving ad offers after the online attention shifted to him.
He said that while the photo was created using artificial intelligence, it went viral on social media following the buzz around Border 2.
Varun expressed, "True story. When he came, I said, when did I wear a uniform? I just did Border. This uniform is not from Border, these hairs were not like this. This face is from ABCD 2, and the body is not mine. This photo is completely AI."
In addition, the actor said that initially he struggled to recognise himself in the photo, as the uniform didn’t match the one he wore in Border.
However, despite online trolling, Varun said that he managed to land three generous advertisement deals. “Mere trolling ke baad mujhe 3 ad mile,” he added.
For the unversed, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai hit theatres on June 5, 2026, starring Varun, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde in key roles.
