The teaser of Alpha has started discussions online after several viewers pointed out similarities between scenes in the film and moments from other well-known movies.

Soon after the teaser was released, social media users shared posts comparing some of its scenes and dialogues with those from La Femme Nikita and American Sniper.

One scene in the teaser showed Alia Bhatt's character celebrating her birthday at a restaurant with her mentor, played by Bobby Deol. During the dinner, she received what appeared to be the start of her first mission.

Many online users compared the sequence to a scene from La Femme Nikita, in which a trained assassin was taken to a restaurant before being assigned a task.

Another discussion focused on a dialogue featured in the teaser. In the clip, Bobby's character spoke about wolves and sheep while guiding Alia's character.

Several users said the dialogue reminded them of a well-known speech from American Sniper. Posts discussing the similarity quickly gained attention across social media platforms.

Some users criticised the teaser, while others argued that similarities between films do not always mean direct copying.

The movie is directed by Shiv Rawail and bankrolled by Aditya Chopra’s YRF it’s all under the same roof. Alpha is one of the titles that sits inside YRF’s Spy Universe it also has connections with War, Pathaan, Ek Tha Tiger and a few more.

The project was initially scheduled for release earlier but was delayed due to visual effects work. The film is now set to arrive in theatres on July 3.
