The internet has been buzzing since the makers of Alia Bhatt and Sharvari's action-packed film Alpha dropped the teaser.

The preview of one of the most anticipated films of the year was released on June 10, and it has been receiving mixed reactions from netizens while also being compared to other films.

However, amid all the chatter around the film a small detail hidden in the end credits caught fans' attention and left many surprised.

It was the story credit which was given to actor Uday Chopra, who has largely stayed away from the spotlight in recent years.

Social media users quickly spotted his name and began discussing his involvement in the project. 

One user reacted as , "So Alia Bhatt is playing a lethal spy named Sita in YRF's Alpha and Uday Chopra wrote the story.

Yeah, the dialogues in are going to be an absolute minefield of campy nonsense. Bollywood tropes strike again." 

Movie critic KRK  wrote, "Pls be informed that the story of film #Alpha has written by retired Uday Chopra. So now you can imagine, how bad it will be." 

A third user wrote, "Oh the Story is written by Uday Chopra? Yes, so? What makes you think that He can't write a very good script? He is Yash Chopra's son & he must have a very creative mind! Why do you feel so entitled to comment & troll every other thing?"

The Mohabbatain star's association with Alpha suggests that he has contributed creatively to the film behind the scenes. Uday.

Positioned as the first female-led chapter in the YRF Spy Universe, the film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on July 3, 2026.
