Niall Horan discusses feelings on singing 'Steal My Girl' without One Direction
Niall Horan sang 'Steal My Girl' live back in 2015 with One Direction
Niall Horan has finally express how it felt like singing the classic One Direction song live all by himself at Capital Summertime Ball 2026.
The 32-year-old Irish singer stole the show as he surprised the audience with his solo rendition of Steal My Girl at the Wembley Stadium in front of 80,000 people.
It is pertinent to mention that the End of an Era singer sang the 1D song with the bandmates in 2015 at the same venue.
Niall, who is busy promoting his new album Dinner Party, was asked at his latest appearance at the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon about the experience of performing the classic song alone.
The Slow Hands hitmaker unveiled that he was quite conscious as he had never sung the song before alone. He had been used to singing his part only with his former 1D bandmates.
He added, “That’s so funny you say that because I was thinking as I was singing it, literally as I was singing the first verse, I was like ‘I’ve never sung this verse before.”
“Because I would have only ever sung my part. So, I don’t think I’ve ever sung any of those verses before. And here I was in front of 80, 000 people going, ‘Oh crap, I better not forget the words here”, confessed Niall.
When asked if he did forget the lyrics, Niall quickly responded saying that he didn’t, but he was sure that even if he did the audience at the Wembley Stadium would have sung it.
Even after years of One Direction’s split in 2016, their fan following is still the same as it was at the peak of their fame.
