American multi-hyphenate star Selena Gomez was speculated to have thrown shade at fellow A-listers after the Knicks game on Wednesday.

The Calm Down singer shared a post on her Instagram story after the New York Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs in a historic match.

The singer, who is a Spurs fan, wrote on her story, which was later deleted, “Mad respect for the game!!”

She added “Congrats to the peeps that represent! What a comeback.”

The 33-year-old added “So funny how some are all [of a] sudden fans though lol.”

The comment rocked the boat as many believed it was a dig at multiple celebrities who attended the match and supported Knicks at the event.

The celebrities to support Knicks included Taylor Swift, Hailey Bieber, Kylie Jenner, Timothee Chalamet and more.

One user wrote on X “she is so weird for shading taylor and adding fuel to what that sportscaster said.”

Another defended Selena saying “why would selena shade taylor? they're literally friends.”

The post was later deleted but it had already caused chaos.
