Perrie Edwards claim has sent the fans in frenzy

Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards were one of the hottest couples on the music scene when they dated while they both were enjoying their success with their respective bands.

However, soon after Zayn left One Direction, it was also reported that he had called off the engagement with Perrie and moves on with supermodel Gigi Hadid later.

A decade later, Perrie has claimed that it was a difficult time for her as a song written for her by Zayn, speculatively Pillowtalk, featured his new partner in the music video which left her heartbroken.

Pillowtalk was Zayn’s debut solo which was released in 2016 as part of his first solo album Mind of Mine and its music video featured Gigi.

However, Perrie’s claim has been contested by Zayn’s fans who claim the song can not be about her as it ws not written by Zayn to begin with.

In an older interview, Zayn admitted on BBC Radio 1 that he did not write the song but heard it in the studio as it was already written and wanted take on it.
