Saiee M Manjrekar is set to be seen in a completely different role in her upcoming film Ikaai, which also stars Raghav Juyal. 

Known for taking up a mix of commercial and performance-oriented projects, the 24-year-old  says this film turned out to be one of the toughest assignments she has worked on so far.

Speaking about her experience the Dabangg 3 actor shared, “Ikaai has definitely been one of the most challenging films I’ve worked on till date because it demanded so much from me emotionally and psychologically. 

There were moments during the process where I genuinely had to push myself beyond my comfort zone because the emotions required for certain scenes were extremely raw and intense.”

She further added, “As an actor, you always want to challenge yourself and discover parts of your craft that you haven’t explored before, and this film allowed me to do exactly that. It was exhausting at times, but also incredibly fulfilling because those are the experiences that help you grow as a performer.”

The actress said the project also changed the way she looks at acting and preparing for emotional scenes. 

“I learned that sometimes silence, vulnerability, and emotional stillness can be far more powerful than dramatic expression. The film constantly keeps the characters emotionally exposed, and that honesty is what makes the horror feel real. I genuinely feel audiences will get to see a completely different side of me in Ikaai, and that’s what excites me the most,”  the Skanda actor added.

With Ikaai, Saiee is trying something new as she steps into a space she has not explored before. 

The film, produced by Vikas Bahl and directed by Raj Singh Chaudhary, is currently in production and is expected to hit theatres early next year.
