'Adults' season 2 is set to release on August 27, 2026

In a shocking update, Adults star Jack Innanen has opened up about rejecting a role on the second season of popular series Heated Rivalry.

After the 27-year-old Canadian actor revealed in April that he had “conversations” about Heated Rivalry Season 2, a source close to production came forward and shared with Entertainment Weekly that he was offered a starring role but cannot accept due to scheduling conflicts.

Jack himself spoke on the matter at the premiere of the second installment of the comedy series Adults at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 11, where he opened up about turning down the role because it wasn’t working out.

When questioned about the role, he kept it under wraps, responding simply, “I can’t say.”

He then went on to speak highly of the series and its creator Jacob Tierney, sharing, “I think it’s such an incredible show, and it didn’t work out, but I love Jacob and everyone involved.”

"I’m just, I’m excited to see what they do for the second season," he added.

For the unversed, Adults season 2 will be returning to screens on August 27, 2026, where Jack stars as Paul Baker.
