After a four year break since its explosive first season, India’s boldest reality TV show is making its return to screens.

Lock Upp makes a comeback with more unfiltered drama, and mind games in its new season, Lock Upp: Sach ya Sazaa, bringing the iconic filmmaker Farah Khan onboard alongside Riteish Deshmukh as new jailers.

While the debut season was hosted by Kangana Ranaut, the second season brings a change in lineup with Farah and Riteish stepping in as hosts.

The makers released the show’s teaser, showing Riteish Deshmukh and Farah Khan locked inside a jail as they discuss how the audience holds the power to send anyone to Lock Upp and how embracing one’s truth is the only way to avoid it.

Originally debuting in 2022 on ALTBalaji and MX Player, the show now returns with a new partnership between Netflix and Balaji Telefilms Ltd, and is set to stream from June 27.

The teaser sets up a strong good-cop, bad-cop vibe between the 61-year-old Indian filmmaker and 47-year-old Indian actor.

Farah’s no-nonsense wit meets Riteish’s composed, observational charm, together urging contestants to “own their truth” to survive.

This season will bring 14 celebrity contestants confined to a high-pressure prison like space for six weeks, completely cut off from the outside world and deprived of everyday luxuries.

Contestants are divided into teams and must battle through intense mental and physical tasks to earn essentials such as edible food, hot water, and proper bedding.
