Mel B has reflected on her love for spontaneous dancing, sharing how movement remains a constant part of her life with husband Rory McPhee.
The former Spice Girls star, widely known as Scary Spice, spoke about her passion for dance while leading an intimate Zumba class at SXSW in London on June 2.
She described dancing as something that naturally extends into her personal life as well while speaking to PEOPLE.
“My husband and I always dance around our farm and our living room,” she told. “In fact, at our [second] wedding that we had in Morocco, we danced, which was completely improvised because we had no choreography like normal people do for their wedding first dance.”
She added, “We danced to ‘I Would Die 4 U' [by Prince], and we just kind of went nuts,” explaining that music plays a deeply emotional role in her life.
“You know, I think any song and album are like the diary of your life. So if you put on that one song that just makes you lose it, just move. That's all I say, just to move,” she explained
Brown and McPhee, who began dating three years before marrying, tied the knot on July 5, 2025, at The Crypt of St. Paul’s Cathedral in London.
The couple later held a second ceremony on August 2 at Selman Marrakech in Morocco, described as a private and spiritual celebration following their London wedding.
Brown’s comments highlight how dance continues to remain a personal outlet for her, blending seamlessly between her public performances and private life.
