Kartik Aaryan took a nostalgic trip down memory lane as Chandu Champion completed two years since its release sharing an emotional note about the film that he describes as the most special project of his career.

The actor who portrayed India’s first Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar in the sports biopic reflected on the challenges and lessons he experienced while bringing the inspiring story to life on screen.

“Two years ago, I stepped into the shoes of a man the world had forgotten, and he ended up reminding me of everything I believed in,” the actor shared.

Kartik also opened up about the demanding preparation for the role including his dramatic physical transformation and months of intense training.

Calling the experience life-changing he said the film taught him the value of perseverance, resilience and believing in one’s dreams despite setbacks.

“The 18 kilos I lost were nothing compared to everything I gained,” he wrote adding that every early morning workout, moment of self-doubt and challenge on set helped shape his journey.

“Kabir Sir, thank you for trusting me with a story this sacred. Sajid Sir, for making it possible,” Kartik continued.

However it was the final line of his message that caught fans’ attention. Hinting at another collaboration with the filmmaker and producer Kartik teased “Can’t wait to share with you all what we have next for you. Bas thoda sa intezaar… Champions will be back!”

The post quickly drew reactions from members of the film’s team. Kabir Khan responded by calling the journey unforgettable and said he remains proud of the film while producer and television host Mini Mathur praised Kartik’s determination and dedication.

Kartik will next be seen in Naagzilla a fantasy comedy directed by Mrighdeep Lamba and also has Captain India with Hansal Mehta in the pipeline.
