Nita Ambani always bring her fashion A-game to her appearances and this time is no different.

The wife of Mukesh Ambani chose a mauve chiffon saree that took a year to complete.

The 62-year-old is always aspiring to add more to her collection of variety of textiles, handwoven and handcrafted pieces of art.

For a recent outing, she chose a hand-embroidered chikankari sari from Swadesh India, which she founded in 2023 to preserve the textiles of India.

Over the course of one year, Lucknow-based master artisan Anjani Kashyap hand-embroidered the sari over.

As per Vogue India, the craftsman incorporated “intricate jaali, murri, ghaas patti and balda work”.

Chikankari is a traditional embroidery style that has its roots in Lucknow. The word can be literally translated as “using thread or wire”.

The blouse was designed by celebrated designer Manish Malhotra who added pleated- and ruffle-detailing.

To complete the look, Nita added diamond drop earrings, a diamond bangle, a statement ring and a watch.
