'Welcome To The Jungle' review: Fans call it better than 'Housefull 5'
Many viewers also described the film as a clean entertainer that could be watched with families
Moviegoers shared their first reactions after Welcome To The Jungle reached cinemas on Friday, with many praising its comedy, large cast and family-friendly entertainment.
Early posts on X (formerly Twitter) showed that many viewers enjoyed the film's humour and performances. While several people appreciated its light-hearted story, others pointed out a few weak areas, including the screenplay and pacing.
One viewer wrote, “Welcome to the Jungle is a great fun film. Director Ahmed Khan has used every actor nicely. Johnny Lever is outstanding. Overall, a fun film and family entertainer.”
Another user said the film offered more than expected. The post read, “The film has a lot more to offer than what the trailer suggested. The first 15 minutes are excellent, and the 30 minutes before the interval are packed with humour.”
Many viewers also described the film as a clean entertainer that could be watched with families. They praised Akshay Kumar's comic timing and appreciated performances by Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Johnny Lever, Aftab Shivdasani and Farida Jalal.
Some social media users said the chemistry between the lead actors added to the comedy and brought back memories of earlier Bollywood comedy films.
Not all reactions were positive. Some viewers said the villain's role felt weak, while others believed a few performances and visual effects could have been better.
One review on X(formerly Twitter) stated, “Started slow but picked up well,” while listing Akshay Kumar's comedy, Johnny Lever's performance and the banter between the lead actors among the positives.
The film also opened well at the box office. According to trade reports, it sold more than one lakh advance tickets across India for its opening day.
