Aamir Khan's brother Faissal Khan has publicly apologized to his family, including the superstar, ahead of his upcoming wedding with Gauri Spratt.

Speaking to YouTuber Ujjwal Trivedi, Faissal said he regrets going public with his grievances and that he went too far with some of his remarks.

 "I first want to apologize to my Ammi that I made the mistake of saying everything in public. I want to apologize to Ammi and Nikhat because a man tends to say it all whatever he's been feeling and suppressing for all this while," he said.

The former actor was particularly remorseful about what he had said about his sister Nikhat and her husband Santosh Hegde. 

"I'd gone overboard with Nikhat and her husband Santosh Hegde, which I shouldn't have said at all. It was very wrong," he admitted.

"I just want to continue with our decision to be on good terms going forward. I wish our relationship becomes even stronger," he said.

Faissal also addressed the long-standing questions around his mental health. He said that when a court sent him to a government hospital, he was given a clean chit there, and suggested that some doctors may have misled his family earlier. 

He also claimed his sister Nikhat had told him multiple times he did not have schizophrenia, and that his mother and Santosh had said the same at some point too.

He described the whole episode as "a different phase" of his life and expressed hope that his family would trust him going forward rather than holding on to past bitterness.

Faissal is the son of late producer Tahir Hussain and made his debut as a child artist in Shashi Kapoor's Pyar Ka Mausam. He later starred in films like Madhosh, Mela and Border Hindustan Ka, and was last seen in the 2022 Kannada film Oppanda.
