A video claiming to show a scene from Ramayana spread widely on social media and quickly drew attention from fans.

The clip, which several users claimed was taken from the film's trailer, showed a character believed to be Lord Ram fighting a demon. The video circulated online shortly after reports said footage from the film had been shown at CinemaCon.

Soon after the clip appeared, many social media users expressed concern over the leak. Several fans urged people not to share the video and called for action to stop its circulation. Others questioned whether the footage was genuine.

After the teaser was released, some viewers praised its scale, while others raised concerns about the visual effects. Following those reactions, producer Namit Malhotra shared a statement addressing the feedback.

“We're listening closely, working diligently, and pouring every effort possible into honouring it with the reverence it holds. This is our Ramayana. It belongs to us all, and that shared emotion and massive responsibility to make every Indian proud is what drives me forward every single day. What you've seen so far is just the beginning,” he said.

Earlier, during a Q&A session, the Sajnu actor spoke carefully about playing Lord Rama, a figure many of his fans already feel deeply connected to. He described the character not as distant mythology, but something still present.

“Lord Rama has been the conscience keeper of billions of people around the globe for centuries and long after. He will continue being so long after we have gone,” the Barfi actor said.

He added, “He enlightens us about the human spirit in terms of adversities. He stands for compassion, for courage, for righteousness and forgiveness. He is called Maryada Purushottam, which stands for an ideal man.”

The film featured Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita and Yash as Ravana. Sunny Deol was cast as Hanuman, while Ravie Dubey played Lakshman.

According to the announced release schedule, Ramayana: Part I was set to arrive in cinemas during Diwali 2026, while the second part was planned for Diwali 2027.
