Actress Ameesha Patel recently went back over that phenomenal response from her debut film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai and kinda reflected on how much love the audience showed her during the on screen pairing with Hrithik Roshan.

She’ll be on the upcoming episode of India’s Best Dancer Season 5 and she said that a lot of fans were basically wishing that their reel life romance might later turn into something real.

While talking to host Haarsh Limbachiyaa Ameesha mentioned that after the blockbuster win of the 2000 film fans started getting emotionally involved with the whole chemistry thing. She added that a lot of admirers went ahead and made wedding albums too like literally daydreaming that the two actors would end up marrying.

Some messages, she said, reflected how deeply people were attached to their on screen romance. "Khoon mein mujhe letters milte the saying, 'We are going to slit our wrists.' Fans bahut naraz hote the, woh bolte the, 'Y'all look so perfect together, please get married, we need y'all to be together.'

"Toh yeh ek pyar hain, love of fans and you know the characters, shayad jo hum sincerely play karte hain, woh dil ko chhu jate hain, so very grateful and blessed, thanks to the audience and thank God," she said.

Ameesha Patel’s remarks will get featured in the upcoming episode of India’s Best Dancer Season 5. This show airs on Sony Entertainment Television and it’s also streaming on Sony LIV too.
