For the very first female led film in Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe Alpha has still managed to put up a decent struggle at the box office even with tough competition coming from other releases.

But yeah when you line it up with the blockbuster type numbers of earlier franchise entries it’s pretty obviously trailing. It released on July 3 and the Alia Bhatt Sharvari starrer kicked off to mixed, to slightly negative reviews. Here’s a quick look at how Alpha is doing so far this Sunday.

Alpha managed to pull in an estimated ₹7.87 crore on its first Sunday from 4,830 shows and that pushed its total India net collection up to ₹28.62 crore .

Earlier, on its first Saturday the film was kind of doing better after a modest start. It pulled in ₹11.25 crore from 6,882 shows which is up from its day 1 collection of ₹9.50 crore.

Compared to most other films led by women Alpha is still doing better with its first weekend numbers sorta speaking. Yash Raj Films’ Mardaani 3 pulled in ₹7.25 crore on day 3, from 4,940 shows, and that pushes its India net count to ₹17.50 crore. Meanwhile Alpha is remaining quite ahead for the overall three day total in a very noticeable way.
