Prince Harry’s UK trip has started with a setback.
The Duke of Sussex arrived in his home country for a series of engagements but his trip bean with a legal bump on Tuesday.
The 41-year-old has lost his long-running lawsuit against the publishers of the Daily Mail.
Harry filed a suit in 2022 among multiple other high-profile individuals, alleging that were victims of unlawful information gathering.
Other filers included Elton John, David Furnish, Elizabeth Hurley and Sadie Frost.
As per the court, all claimants had failed to prove their claims.
Judge Nicklin wrote “The allegations were extremely serious. Yet… they were not consistently anchored to identified statements which were put to the relevant witness as deliberate falsehoods.”
The claimants alleged that the journalists tapped their landlines and bugged houses and cars to get information.
The Duke flew to UK for the one-year countdown to the next Invictus Games, which will be held in Birmingham in 2027.
Previously, it was reported that Harry would fly to UK with his wife Meghan Markle and children, but later it was confirmed that the plans changed.
