Arshad Warsi recently made a candid confession after sparking controversy over his comments on Prabhas’ performance in Kalki 2898 AD.

The 58-year-old actor, who is celebrated for his impeccable comic timing across several Bollywood films, urged people to lighten up.

In an exclusive conversation with News18, Warsi admitted that he now reserves his jokes for his close friends.

Speaking to the outlet, he said, “I only joke with my friends. To be honest, I don’t joke with anybody else. If I’ve crack a joke, I do it with the people I’m familiar with and those who are my friends because I know what to say and how much I can say. If I don’t know someone, I won’t say anything in front of them because I won’t have an idea about them. It’s as simple as that.”

This statement comes nearly two years after the Jolly LLB star was heavily trolled for his remarks about Prabhas in 2024.

During an interview with Samdish Bhatia in 2024, Warsi said, “Prabhas, I am really sad, why was he… he was like a joker. Why? I want to see a Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. What have you made of it? Why do they do such things I never understand.”

Following his remarks, the Dhamaal actor faced backlash from Prabhas’ fans, as well as criticism from some of the latter’s industry colleagues.

Arshad, who was recently seen in Welcome to the Jungle, is currently gearing up for Dhamaal 4, Golmaal 5, and King.

Prabhas, on the other hand, is set to appear in the sequel to the Kalki 2898 AD.
