If the original Awarapan was known for something more than just Emraan Hashmi’s very still sort of performance it was its soundtrack.

Tracks like To Phir Aao and Tera Mera Rishta didn’t only become chartbusters they’ve stayed kind of fresh for almost two decades now. The sequel Awarapan 2 is aiming for the same lane. And its first move is the romantic ballad Ve Junoon.

Released just a day ago, the song already seems to be picking up fans, it has crossed 7 million views on YouTube. And while people are chatting up the melody and the lyrics, there’s one more point that keeps coming back the voice.

Ve Junoon has been made by Mithoon and penned by Sayed Quadri two longtime associates of Vishesh Films the folks behind Awarapan 2.

This track also ushers in new voice Subodhh Sharma into Bollywood. And sure Subodhh has lived with music almost all his life but this time it actually puts him right in the centre of attention.

He was born to composer and poet Pt. Prithvi Raj Sharma in Jammu and from the beginning he grew up around compositions, lines of poetry and riyaaz. Learning music early on he later shifted to Mumbai 12 years ago chasing the hope of a full music journey.

Still for the next ten odd years or so he worked in a low-key way behind the scenes doing musician work, arranging and collaborating with others.
