Wedding celebrations for Indian actress Akansha Ranjan Kapoor and filmmaker Sharan Sharma continued to draw attention as several well-known Bollywood personalities were expected to attend the couple's reception in Mumbai.

According to reports, Akansha and Sharan planned to get married in a private ceremony on July 11 with only family members and close friends present. Their reception, scheduled for July 12 at JW Marriott in Juhu, was expected to welcome many guests from the film industry.

Reports stated that actress Alia Bhatt, a close friend of Akansha since their school days, was expected to attend the celebration. Actors Kiara Advani, Athiya Shetty and Sonam Kapoor were also said to be on the guest list.

Akansha recently appeared in the second season of the web series Gram Chikitsalay. She also awaited the release of her upcoming film Ikka. Sharan was last seen directing Mr. & Mrs. Mahi.

Earlier, Akansha had spoken about balancing her personal and professional life. She had said, “Not wanting to get married or have kids is also not the right approach. I feel like you can have a grounded and well-rounded life with people around you and still keep trying to conquer the world.”

She had also shared that she never believed age should decide a person's career. “I didn't start my career at 18. Naturally, I won't have to end it at 28. I can start at 35 and bloom at the age of 45,” she had said.

Reports suggested that the couple's families shared long-standing ties with several members of the film industry, leading to a large gathering for the occasion.
