The film titled 'Dada – The Sourav Ganguly Story' is set to release on 14 May 2027
Actor Rajkummar Rao has unveiled the poster of the upcoming biopic of legendary Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly, titled Dada – The Sourav Ganguly Story.
The makers chose the birthday of the 54-year-old former Indian captain to drop the first look of the film, which is based on his life.
The poster features the 40-year-old actor recreating Ganguly's well-known shirt-waving celebration from the Lord's balcony after India's NatWest Trophy win over England in 2002.
The makers also announced the film’s theatrical release date: 14 May 2027.
Sharing the poster on Instagram, the Stree 2 actor also wished the former skipper on his special day, “Happy birthday our dearest Dada. @souravganguly”
Meanwhile, the caption on the poster reads, “HE DIDN’T JUST PLAY THE GAME, HE CHANGED IT”
