British pop girl group Spice Girls began their successful journey with their debut hit single Wannabe.

Wannabe has now turned 30, completing three decades of success for the pop stars.

The group starring Mel B, Mel C, Geri, Emma and Victoria, dropped their debut song as a part of the group's debut album, Spice.

To celebrate the song, the official account of the group shared a post on Instagram celebrating the feat.

The post was shared with the caption “30 years of Wannabe!”

“Happy birthday to the song that changed our lives forever. Thank you for making it part of your lives for the past three decades.”

Mel C, also known as Sporty Spice, wrote on the social media platform “30 years of girl power! Happy Birthday Wannabe.”

She continued “I love you @emmaleebunton @victoriabeckham @officialmelb @gerihalliwellhorner @biffco and Matt Rowe.”

Melanie said the “song that changed our lives forever.”

Emma, also known as Baby Spice, also wrote “Happy birthday Wannabe, 30 years! Love you all thank you!”

Meanwhile, Mel B celebrated the day with her signature line from the song saying “Zigazig ahhhh. Yipppeeee. (sic)”
