Prime Video has pulled the plug on It's Not Like That after just one season, as per Deadline.

The family drama centered on Scott Foley as Malcolm, a recently widowed pastor raising three children, and Erinn Hayes as Lori, a newly divorced mother of two.

As they faced the ups and downs of single parenthood and life after heartbreak, the longtime friends began questioning whether their relationship could turn romantic.

The cancellation comes just months after the series premiered worldwide on Prime Video, following its initial debut on Wonder Project's Prime Video add-on channel earlier this year.

After premiering on the service on January 25, It's Not Like That later launched globally on Prime Video on May 15.

The show is one of several projects born from Prime Video's collaboration with Wonder Project, which also produced House of David.

The first season's last episode now serves as series final, leaving fans frustrated as the show's central relationship is left unresolved.

The decision also comes as a surprise as the series sat at number 9 on Prime Video's first weekly global series Top 10 in June.

It also recently stayed on number 5 on the daily US series chart.
