‘Ramayana’ sets July 18 trailer launch at Major Delhi event
The trailer for Ramayana is set to be unveiled on July 18 at a grand event at Bharat Mandapam, marking the next major milestone for one of Indian cinema's most ambitious productions.
According to Variety India, the large-scale launch will be held in New Delhi and is expected to reflect the scale of the two-part adaptation of the ancient Indian epic.
Director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra are confirmed to attend the event alongside several cast members.
Among those expected to be present are Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Ravi Dubey, Rakul Preet Singh, and Kunal Kapoor. The attendance of Yash and Sunny Deol has not yet been confirmed.
Backed by Prime Focus Studios in association with DNEG, Ramayana has generated considerable anticipation through its first-look materials and production updates.
The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. Sunny Deol portrays Hanuman, while Ravie Dubey plays Lakshman. Rakul Preet Singh appears as Surpanakha and Kunal Kapoor takes on the role of Lord Indra. The ensemble also includes Adinath Kothare, Lara Dutta, Sheeba Chadha and Arun Govil.
Tiwari, best known for Dangal and Chhichhore, is directing the project, with Hans Zimmer and A. R. Rahman collaborating on the score.
The first instalment of Ramayana is scheduled to arrive during Diwali 2026, with the second part slated for release at Diwali 2027.
