Ariana Grande has offered her longtime impersonator, Paige Niemann, some food for thought after years of mirroring the pop star's appearance.

Speaking in her new docuseries Turning the Paige, the 22-year-old social media star recalled how the 33-year-old singer and actress encouraged her to embrace her individuality rather than imitate others.

“I am flattered, and I am sure you're very sweet. But I just wanted you to know, I looked back a little ways on your page, and I think someone should tell you, if they haven't today, that you're very beautiful as yourself,” Grande wrote to Niemann in an old Instagram DM.

The Wicked star added, "Without all the make-up and trying to make your face look more similar to someone else's and whatnot. i had to say it because it is the truth. always do what makes you happy, of course, but if i didn't say that to you, i'd regret it. you're beautiful as you are. take care."

The exact timing of Grande's message remains unknown. However, it wasn't their first interaction. Back in 2019, Niemann told Entertainment Weekly that the pop sensation had personally reached out to her and expressed interest in meeting during the Sweetener Tour.

While the Grammy winner told her impersonator she was "flattered," she has previously admitted that she sometimes finds the whole impersonation trend "bizarre."

Ariana Grande's ongoing and upcoming projects

The former Nickelodeon star is currently on The Eternal Sunshine Tour in support of her seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine. The 41-show run stretches from June to September and includes stops across North America and the UK, marking her first concert tour since 2019.

As for what's next, Ariana Grande is set to release her eighth studio album, Petal, on July 31, 2026.
