Indian actress Swati Reddy surprised fans after announcing her marriage to filmmaker Srikanth Nagothi. The couple shared the news through a joint social media post on Wednesday, revealing that they had tied the knot in a private wedding ceremony.

They kept the announcement short and wrote, “Hitched 08-07-2026”

The pictures showed the couple taking part in traditional wedding rituals. In one image, Swati held Srikanth's arm while he performed a homam. Another picture showed them sitting together during a puja. The ceremony appeared to have taken place in a simple setting with close family members present.

Swati and Srikanth wore white traditional cotton outfits for the wedding. The decorations also remained simple, matching the intimate nature of the ceremony.

Soon after the post was shared, friends from the film industry congratulated the couple. Actor Naveen Chandra wrote, “Broooo congratulations.”

Filmmaker Nandini Reddy, actor Shreya Dhanwanthary, badminton player Jwala Gutta and several others also wished them well.

 Comedian Raja Sekhar Mamidanna wrote, “Congrats Swathi.” and actress Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna wrote, “Congrats papa wishing you nothing but the bestest. Many blissings.”

Fans also filled the comments section with congratulatory messages after the wedding announcement.

Swati and Srikanth first worked together on the 2023 film Month of Madhu, which he directed. Their professional association later turned into a personal relationship.

Swati became popular as a television host before building a successful acting career in Telugu and Tamil cinema. She received recognition for films including Subramaniapuram, Ashta Chamma, Swamy Ra Ra, Amen and Karthikeya. Month of Madhu remained her most recent film.

Swati had married pilot Vikas Vasu in 2018. Although neither of them publicly announced their separation, the actor had previously chosen not to discuss her personal life. During promotions for Month of Madhu, she responded to a question about her divorce by saying, “Nen ivva (I won’t tell you).”

With the wedding announcement, Swati and Srikanth shared a new chapter of their lives with fans through a simple and private celebration.
