Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley’s sudden divorce reportedly came after months of challenges in their relationship.

According to a recent report by Page Six, the 42-year-old American singer-songwriter and the 31-year-old actress experienced communication issues during their three-year marriage.

“Communication was definitely a challenge between him and Margaret,” an insider told the outlet.

The source added, “Jack could be very particular about how he liked things. He’d often prefer for things to be done the way he thought was best, and Margaret didn’t always feel like her perspective was being heard or given the same weight.”

Antonoff and Qualley reportedly began experiencing strain in their relationship, with another tipster describing their marriage to PEOPLE as “rocky.”

News of the former couple’s split came just five days after the Bleachers frontman was spotted attending his longtime friend and collaborator Taylor Swift’s star-studded wedding to Travis Kelce on Friday, July 3, without the Maid actress by his side.

Antonoff and Qualley first sparked romance rumours in August 2021 after they were spotted sharing a kiss during a date in Brooklyn.

The couple exchanged vows in August 2023 during a New Jersey ceremony attended by celebrity friends, including Swift,  Lana Del Rey, Cara Delevingne,  Zoë Kravitz, and Channing Tatum.

The Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood actress spoke about her deep connection with Antonoff during a 2023 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, calling him “my person.”

“I am so happy that I found my person. And it’s real. It’s amazing. It’s the best feeling in the world,” she said at the time.

Although neither has publicly commented on the divorce reports, Margaret Qualley made a noticeable move by deleting photos from her August 2023 wedding to Jack Antonoff on Instagram.
