Farhan Akhtar is returning to the big screen after more than four years with the war drama 120 Bahadur.

Directed by Razneesh Razy Ghai, this action film recounts the Battle of Rezang La, considered one of the major events of the Sino-Indian War.

Film cast

This film features Farhan Akhtar as Major Shaitan Singh, while Raashii Khanna portrays the love of his life, Shugan Kanwari Singh.

It also features a diverse ensemble including Raashi Khanna, Vivan Bhatena, Eijaz Khan, Dhanveer Singh, Udaysinh Rajput, Sahib Verma, and others.

Film plot

The film pays tribute to the 120 Indian soldiers who fought on 18 November 1962 during the Sino-Indian War, taking on a Chinese force of nearly 3,000 troops.

The 51-year-old actor plays Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, the officer who led the Charlie Company of the 13th Battalion, Kumaon Regiment.

The film’s story follows how these soldiers stood their ground against overwhelming odds. Their bravery was so powerful that even after most of them were killed in battle, they earned respect from the enemy side. Only six soldiers survived the clash.
