British star Andrew Garfield is vocalised his disapproval of Harry Potter writer JK Rowling.

The 42-year-old has shared his conflicted views on the wizarding world’s franchise praising the films while criticising author.

Speaking on Hits Radio, The Social Network star said the movies are “really good” but suggested fans should reconsider financially supporting Rowling due to her controversial views.

“I hadn't watched the Harry Potters until recently. And he's really good in those Harry Potter movies!”, he said.

Refusing to name her, he said “I know it's controversial and we shouldn't be putting money in the pocket of inhumane legislation right now, through she that will remain nameless.”

However, Andrew added that the crew members and artists who world to make those films should be appreciated.

The author, who rose to fame after writing the books, has been a controversial public personality due to her staunch views that align with he conservatives.

Many cast members of the original films including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, who played the golden trio, have been vocal about their disapproval of Rowling in recent years.
