Brooklyn Beckham’s real reason for not opening the door when his younger sister Harper visited his Los Angeles residence has been revealed.

According to a latest report by Page Six, the 27-year-old aspiring chef was not in the city when his 14-year-old sibling paid a visit to his California home, as he was in New York City.

Brooklyn later gave fans a glimpse of his whereabouts through an Instagram Story from New York, hinting that he was away at the time.

Harper stopped by her brother’s Beverly Hills property at about 2 p.m. PT after attending events honouring David Beckham’s Walk of Fame achievement.

Her brief stop at the residence was said to be unannounced, with neither Brooklyn nor his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham present.

A representative for the couple told the outlet: “That photographers were in place as the letter was hand delivered says it all — this was choreographed for the cameras.”

Despite Brooklyn’s notable absence, David delivered a heartfelt nod to his family while joined by Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 21, at the star-studded event.

“Most of all, I want to thank my incredible family,” David said during his speech.

He added, “My parents and my sisters, who always supported my dreams. Victoria, my amazing wife for almost 30 years. Without whom, none of this would be possible or as enjoyable. And my beautiful children, who are the reason that I get out of the bed in the morning.”

Harper’s brief visit comes nearly five months after Brooklyn allegedly claimed his parents were overly involved in his personal affairs.
