Tom Holland may still be hesitant about hosting Saturday Night Live, but Seth Meyers believes the actor would be a natural fit for the iconic sketch show.

During the latest episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers, the host revisited Holland's recent appearance on Amy Poehler's Good Hang podcast, where the actor explained why he has never taken on hosting duties despite repeated encouragement.

“She was trying to encourage you to host SNL, you were hesitant to take this on,” Meyers told Holland. “I just want to echo her instinct that I think you’d be great at it. I just want to throw it out there.”

Although appreciative of the support, Holland admitted one issue continues to hold him back.

“It’s the cue cards for me,” he said. “Like, I’m really dyslexic. And I just — there’s something about reading out loud that would just really stress me out.”

The Spider-Man: Brand New Day star revealed there was a point during the film’s promotional campaign when he was finally ready to take the leap. He recalled director Destin Daniel Cretton urging him to do it, saying, “You have to do it, you have to do it.”

Holland even informed Sony’s marketing team that he was ready to host the long-running NBC show.

“So, at the beginning of the press tour... I said, ‘I’m ready to host SNL,’” Holland shared. “And then, they were like, ‘They’re dark during the summer.’ So, thank God!”

Before wrapping up the conversation, Meyers introduced Holland to Wally, the longtime cue card handler for both Late Night and Saturday Night Live, assuring him, “He’d take good care of you. If the time comes, he’s the cue card guy. Whatever you need.”
