‘That could have ended terribly’: Nora Fatehi opens up about her car crash
Nora Fatehi recalls surviving a terrifying car crash caused by a drunk driver, revealing she suffered a concussion and issuing a powerful warning against drinking and driving
Nora Fatehi finally got candid about the terror filled times during the car accident that occurred earlier this year and caused her to suffer a concussion that resulted in the temporary cancellation of her work commitments.
The actress and dancer while narrating the incident told how the impact of the crash was so sudden that she became disoriented and very scared.
As reported earlier, the incident took place when a drunk motorist crashed his vehicle into the one Nora was in while she was heading to the Sunburn Festival in Mumbai where she was to perform with DJ and music producer David Guetta.
After the accident, her management team quickly took her to the closest hospital. The physicians performed a CT scan to eliminate the possibility of internal bleeding and then concussion was the diagnosis given to her and she was suggested to have a rest.
Speaking about the incident, Nora said, “Hey guys, I'm just coming here to tell you that I am okay. Yes, I was in a really serious car accident. A drunk person who was driving under the influence smashed my car, and unfortunately, the impact was quite severe, and it flung me across the car. I bashed my head on the window.”
Sharing her health update, Nora asserted, “I'm alive, and I'm well. Except for some minor injuries, swelling, and a slight concussion, I'm okay. I'm grateful for that. That could have ended terribly, but I came to say this to say that this is why you should not drink and drive.I hate alcohol to begin with. In fact, I am not someone who has ever liked the idea of alcohol or anything like that, such as drugs, weed, anything that puts you in a different state of mind... It is not something I promote or even enjoy being around.”
She further continued, “You should not drink and drive. It's 2025. I cannot believe that this is even a conversation. I can't believe that this is even a scenario that has to happen. At 3 p.m. in the afternoon, I could never imagine someone would be driving under the influence and putting people in harm's way. Having said that, I just want to let everyone know I'm okay. I'm going to be suffering from pain for some time, but, thank God I am alive.”
The next day, Nora made a powerful comeback and took part in David Guetta’s performance at Sunburn Festival 2025 turning what might have been her quiet comeback into one of the most discussed events of the festival.
The event was not just a mere sign of things to come as the artists revealed their soon-to-be-released worldwide single Fire Starter that will include Ciara as well.
A very lively remix of the original track was performed live, thus providing the audience with an early tasting and also creating the buzz right away.
