Ranveer Singh is reportedly all set to delve into the character in Don 3 following the success of Dhurandhar.

The 40-year-old actor, who is currently making headlines for his recently released action-crime film, has begun shooting for Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming sequel in the popular franchise.

A source close to the development told Pinkvilla, “Now that Ranveer is back to the game, the production doesn’t want to wait anymore. After some scheduling conflicts and logistical back and forth, Don 3 is back on track. Ranveer will be seen doing some heavy-duty action sequences and he started prepping for the same last week.”

It is pertinent to mention that the first schedule of Don 3 is set to be shot in Jeddah in late January and early February 2026.

The insider further revealed that Kriti Sanon has been selected to play female lead opposite the Padmaavat star.

“Ranveer is fresh off the success of Dhurandhar. Kriti Sanon, on the other hand, dished out a big hit like Tere Ishq Mein,” the source added. “Don 3 serves as the perfect next-step for this duo.”

The Do Patti actress will reportedly be seen performing stunts similar to those done by Priyanka Chopra in previous installments.

Alongside Sanon and Singh, Vikrant Massey is expected to portray the antagonist in the film.

The insider further added, “They’ve resumed conversations with Vikrant. The actor too is interested. They’re currently in the process of figuring out his dates. Meanwhile, the script is still going through minute changes keeping Vikrant in mind.”

For the unversed, Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra, who portrayed the iconic characters of Don and Roma, are rumoured to make cameo appearances in the upcoming film, marking their return after 2011.

Meanwhile, the Bajirao Mastani actor has been earning widespread acclaim for Dhurandhar, which was released on Friday, December 5.
