Big Brother contestant Mickey Lee has died at the age of 35, her family has confirmed.

The reality TV star passed away on Christmas evening after suffering a series of cardiac arrests. Her family shared the heartbreaking news in an Instagram post on December 26.

“With profound sadness, the family of Mickey Lee announces her transition on Christmas in the early evening,” the statement read.

“Mickey captured the hearts of audiences nationwide through her appearance on Big Brother. Her authenticity, strength and spirit left a lasting impression on fans and fellow cast members alike,” the post continued.

Lee was receiving treatment in intensive care for days before her tragic passing. A GoFundMe page set up on December 22 revealed the 35-year-old had suffered multiple cardiac arrests.

Lee worked as an event curator and creative professional. She came from Jacksonville, Florida, and later settled in Atlanta.

She rose to fame for her participation in the most recent season of Big Brother where she quickly stood out for her bold gameplay and bringing in warm energy inside the house.

Tributes have poured in from former castmates following the unfortunate announcement.

Rachel Reilly wrote that Lee shared “so much light” and called her “an amazing soul.”

Mecole Hayes described the loss as “devastating,” while Bayleigh Pelham said Lee’s kindness and presence left a lasting impact.

Fans and fellow contestants continue to honour Lee’s memory remembering her for the joy she brought both on and off screen.
