Brazilian footballer Jorginho has alleged that a security guard for Chappell Roan accused his 11-year-old daughter of harassment.

The athlete stated that the incident happened during a trip to Sao Paulo which left his daughter distressed.

The footballer said his daughter, a fan of the singer, was left “in tears” after the alleged encounter at a hotel ahead of Lollapalooza Brasil.

In a lengthy Instagram post he shared in English as well as Portuguese, he shared the incident that has sparked outrage.

It read in part “This morning, my daughter woke up incredibly excited. She even made a sign because she was so happy to see an artist she really admires, or used to admire.”

The child appeared to be referring to 11-year-old Ada Law, who is the footballer’s stepdaughter. His wife, Catherine Harding, had Ada with British actor Jude Law.

Jorginho wrote Ada walked past the singer's table and smiled at her which prompted a response from her security.

He added that “a large security guard came over to their table while they were still having breakfast and began speaking in an extremely aggressive manner to both my wife and my daughter, saying that she shouldn't allow my daughter to ‘disrespect’ or ‘harass’ other people.”

Jorginho claimed the child had simply smiled at the artist, but was accused of being disrespectful, calling the situation “extremely upsetting” for his family
