Zayn Malik reveals new tattoo in tribute to Drew Barrymore
British singer Zayn Malik has long been known for his artistic tattoo collection and understated public persona.
On Friday, April 17, the Grammy-winning artist recently appeared on The Zach Sang Show, where he reflected on a new tattoo added to his growing list of body ink.
Malik revealed that his latest piece is a tribute to Drew Barrymore, etched simply on his forearm, while the actress reciprocated by getting his name inked in Arabic, translating to “grace” in English.
Speaking on the podcast episode, the former One Direction star said the tattoos were done on “live TV,” likely referencing his appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, which aired days later.
The interview had been filmed prior to his recent health setback.
Malik also addressed fans on Instagram the same day, sharing a photo from a hospital bed and revealing he was recovering following an unexpected hospitalisation.
“Been a long week and am still unexpectedly recovering,” he wrote, thanking supporters for their continued messages.
The singer apologised for missing scheduled appearances, noting he was “heartbroken” not to see fans, adding that their support has been central to his journey as he continues to recover following the album release.
