The crossover boxing match between influencer Jake Paul and former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has officially shattered more digital records drawing a massive global audience of 33 million viewers on Netflix.

According to data released on December 23, 2025, by Netflix and Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), the event averaged 33 million viewers from the opening to the closing bell.

A slow-motion clip of the final knockout has already become the most-viewed live event clip in Netflix history with over 214 million views.

The match took place on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Kaseya Center in Miami. For the first four rounds, Paul used a “hit and run” strategy to avoid Joshua’s power which led to the referee eventually snapping at both fighters:

“The fans didn’t pay to see this crap.”

However, the “circus” ended brutally in the sixth round. Joshua landed a devastating right hand that broke Paul’s jaw in two places and sent him to the canvas.

The event also set a record for the highest-grossing boxing gate in the history of the Kaseya Center

Despite the loss, Joshua showed respect afterward, stating, “It took a bit longer than expected but the right hand finally found the destination.”

Paul, who required surgery after the bout was humble in defeat, posting on social media: “Jaw broken. Hearts and balls intact… I got my a* beat up but that’s what this sport is about.”

The event also set a record for the highest-grossing boxing gate in the history of the Kaseya Center, proving that the “influencer vs. pro” model still holds massive commercial power.
