Indian Men’s cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir sought spiritual solace at the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga temple in Ujjain ahead of the India vs New Zealand 3rd ODI. He was accompanied by the Indian batting coach, Sitanshu Kotak.

Gambhir participated in the Bhasm Aarti and offered prayers at one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and offered a water ritual to Nandi.

After the visit, “Gauti” appreciated the order and arrangements, making it feasible for the devotees to visit the holy place.

“The arrangements were great and the darshan was smooth and I am confident that I will return soon,” said Gautam.

The head coach visited the Mahakal temple several times, particularly at the beginning of IPL 2024. In his company, Sitanshu Kotak seemed immersed in the divine atmosphere of the temple and was seen offering prayers.

The visit to the temple was considered crucial, as the Indian team is looking forward to playing its third and final ODI against New Zealand at Holkar Stadium in Indore city on Sunday.

While taking the blessings of Lord Shiva, the coach was seen calm and focused before leading his team into the final battle of the series, boosting India’s morale to clinch the ODI trophy.
