Actor and politician Vijay has been rumoured to be dating actress Trisha Krishnan for a long time.

The couple's relationship which had been suspected before became more apparent when Sangeeta Sornalingam filed for divorce in Chennai court and claimed that her husband Vijay had been seeing another woman who worked with him.

The couple attended a wedding in Chennai on Thursday evening which served as confirmation of the ongoing relationship between Vijay and Trisha.

Vijay’s bodyguard hints at appearance with Trisha

On Thursday Vijay and Trisha attended the wedding reception of AGS producer Kalpathi Suresh's son in Chennai.

Their arrival at the reception together confirmed relationship rumours which they had previously denied.

Aroon Suresh who serves as Vijay's bodyguard posted on his Instagram stories three hours before their appearance that "Time to rise above all the rumours (fire emoji)."

He deleted the post after people on the internet started taking screenshots which they shared online.

What he did not delete was another picture he posted of just Vijay making the heart sign with no caption. He posted the picture using Vijay and Trisha’s song Kokkarakko from their 2004 film Ghilli.

Aroon's online statement led people on both X and Reddit to believe that he was confirming the rumours about Vijay and Trisha's relationship status.
