Aishwarya Rai stole the 2026 Cannes Film Festival following Alia Bhatt’s controversial appearance in the red carpet.

Cannes Festival kicked off with Bhatt’s presence at occasion, which gauged a lot of criticism as many pointed out that she was trying to grab attention with her fake body language and style.

Internet couldn’t stop noticing that the media at the red carpet was having difficulty recognizing the Bollywood actress.

Not just that when she was asked about women contribution in cinema, the Gangubai Kathiawadi star’s response had a massive difference.

Alia stated, "In India we are supposed to cater to the masses coz the movie going audience is male and blah blah.”

Days later, Rai’s graced closed the event with her stunning appearance  and answered the same question with immense grace and support towards all the Indian women working for cinema.

The Devdas actress added, “I think or in my opinion I look at it as catalysing the movement for change to accelerate the process. It’s all contributing to strengthen opportunities for women in cinema.”

She continued, “We could certainly do with a lot more opportunities for so many talents that come together in the making of cinema. So I think it’s just wonderful that we have such platforms and here’s to many more.”

Ashwariya’s ravishing appearance turned heads all around the Cannes Festival and she proved why she was labelled as Miss World.
