After having Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie on Criminal Minds: Evolution, it seems like the show also tried to get his co-star Hudson Williams on board.

In chat with Us Weekly, ahead of the season 19 premiere on May 28 showrunner Erica Messer revealed that they were trying to cast the 25-year-old in a role on the crime drama.

"Trust me, we looked (into it). We were like, ‘Is he available?'" she admitted.

The idea ultimately fell through because Hudson had a packed schedule and was too busy with existing commitments to take this opportunity on.

“He’s shooting the second season of Heated Rivalry in August and that’s when we would need them. We tried,” she revealed.

However, Connor, 26, shot scenes for season 19 of Criminal Minds, which ultimately developed into a recurring multi-episode arc. Erica teased that the character will be crucial to the season’s main antagonist plot.

Hinting at what to expect in the upcoming season, she shared, "Connor gets introduced in episode 4.”

Continuing, “His story does have something to do with the big bad of the season but, without wanting too give much away, that’s all I’ll say.”
